Hemodez is a drug that exhibits a detoxification effect due to the polyvinylpyrrolidone included in its composition, which promotes the binding and rapid elimination of toxins circulating in the blood.
The drug Hemodez N differs from Hemodez in containing a lower molecular weight of povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone), which significantly increases its detoxification abilities and increases the rate of excretion from the body by the kidneys. Due to the activation of renal blood flow by Hemodez N, glomerular filtration increases, and diuresis also increases. The drug is not metabolized and is completely eliminated from the body within 24 hours.
Hemodez is produced in the form of a transparent yellowish infusion solution, in special bottles for blood substitutes of 100, 200 and 400 ml. The solution contains ions: calcium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, povidone with a molecular weight of 8000±2000 for Hemodez N and with a mass of 12,600±2700 for its analogue. The solution also contains water for injection as an excipient.
According to the instructions, Hemodez is indicated for:
An infusion solution is also used for toxicosis in pregnant women, chronic liver diseases, thyrotoxicosis, and alcohol intoxication.
According to the instructions, Hemodez is administered intravenously at a rate of 40-80 drops per minute, a device with a filter is used for infusions, and the prescribed single dose of the medicine depends on the age of the patient and the severity of the toxin damage. Before use, the drug must be brought to body temperature (35-36°C), a single dose for adults is 200-500 ml, for children - 5-10 ml per 1 kg of body weight. The intervals between injections of the solution should be at least 12 hours. The maximum single dose of Hemodez for adults is 500 ml, for children:
Hemodez can be administered once or 2 times a day.
The course of therapy lasts from 1 to 10 days, depending on the patient’s condition and the severity of the disease:
If necessary, subcutaneous administration of the drug is also possible, but in this case the effectiveness of the effect is reduced.
As stated in the instructions, Hemodez is contraindicated for:
When administered slowly, as shown in the instructions, the drug usually does not cause any side effects. When Hemodez is infused at a higher rate, a decrease in blood pressure, the occurrence of tachycardia, and difficulty breathing can be provoked. In such cases, the administration of the drug is stopped and symptomatic therapy is carried out.
The use of Hemodez is possible with the simultaneous use of albumin and gamma globulin for extensive burns. The drug can be used only if its packaging is intact; upon visual inspection of the liquid in the bottle, it should not contain suspensions or sediment.
The solution contains chlorides of potassium, calcium, sodium, magnesium, sodium bicarbonate, low molecular weight povidone (in the line of drugs it has a different molar mass). If there is no medicine, the doctor will prescribe Neohemodez, a substitute medicine with a similar composition.
Action of the drug:
In some cases, the Hemodez dropper is used in conjunction with albumin and gamma globulin.
The solution is released in bottles with a yellowish liquid of 100, 200, 400 ml. It is not available in the form of tablets or injections.
Indications for the use of hemodez:
There are no age restrictions for using the medicine. The medication is used according to indications in newborns and for intrauterine infections. Treatment with the drug should be carried out for no more than 10 days.
Before use, check the integrity of the packaging. The solution is transparent yellowish, without sediment.
The drug is administered intravenously. Treatment is carried out under the supervision of medical professionals.
Infusion can be used depending on the severity of the patient's condition 1 - 2 times a day. The maximum single dose of Hemodez dropper for adults is 400 ml, for children - depending on weight, 2.5 ml/kg. For children under 2 years of age, the dosage should not exceed 50 ml. The medication is administered systematically at intervals of 12 hours.
Heat the solution to 36-37°C. The rate of infusion of the medicine is 40 - 80 drops per minute.
The drug is used only intravenously, it is contraindicated to take orally, drink, or dilute with other liquids.
Hemodez N is characterized by a lower molecular weight of povidone. Unlike the first, it is excreted faster by the kidneys and has a detoxifying effect.
Since 2005, Hemodez has been banned in pharmacology and medicine in the Russian Federation; analogues are used instead. The product is currently discontinued.

Hemodez is a plasma-substituting drug that removes toxic substances from the body. It is used in the form of droppers and injections. Predecessor of Phys. solution. Visually presented in the form of a transparent liquid. Usually has a yellowish tint.
The composition includes a water-salt solution, including 6% polyvinylpyrrolidone with a low molecule content, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chlorine ions.
Combined with other medications. World non-proprietary name Povidone 12600. Popularly called blood sorbent.
On May 24, 2005, by order of the Federal Service for Healthcare Supervision, hemodez was prohibited for practical use in the Russian Federation. As a result, the production of this drug was stopped. To this day it is allowed in the Belarusian Republic. Instead, the drug Hemodez-N is produced in the Russian Federation. The difference from its predecessor is its lower molecular weight. This accelerates the release of toxic substances from the body.
Attention! Be sure to tell your doctor if you have certain medical conditions or allergies. The most complete information will contribute to the correctness of the prescribed therapy. However, each body reacts to a particular administered substance differently. As a rule, slow administration of the drug Hemodez does not cause complications.
Possible side effects if administered incorrectly:
It was the side effects that caused the drug to be banned. There is also a theory about a small proportion of the drug in the composition of Hemodez. And it, in turn, becomes addictive with prolonged treatment.
There was an opinion that the positive effect of using the drug in the form of intravenous drips was due to the placebo effect. The interaction of Hemodez with alcohol has not been studied.
100 ml of the drug Hemodez N and Hemodez 8000 include:
The drug is available in the form of an infusion solution. Depending on the manufacturer, the solution is bottled in bottles of 100, 200, 250 or 400 ml.
Detoxification, plasma replacement, antiaggregation.
The effects of a drug are determined by the action of its main active substance - low molecular weight polyvinylpyrrolidone, which, after intravenous administration, binds toxins circulating in the bloodstream and promotes their rapid elimination from the body.
The molecular weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone in the preparations Hemodez N and Gemodez 8000, in contrast to the usual Hemodez, is significantly lower, and therefore their detoxification qualities are improved, and the time for elimination of toxins by the kidneys is reduced. The drugs increase glomerular filtration, renal blood flow and increase diuresis.
Polyvinylpyrrolidone is not metabolized in the human body and is fairly quickly excreted in the urine (a small part in feces). 80% of the drug is eliminated within 4 hours, the remaining 20% within 12-24 hours.
Indications for use of Gemodez N and Gemodez 8000 are:
As a rule, slow administration of the drug does not cause any complications.
In rare cases, the development of serious allergic manifestations, including anaphylactic shock, has been observed. In such cases, the infusion should be stopped immediately and symptomatic treatment should be carried out, which consists of the administration of cardiotonic and antihistamines, vasopressive drugs, and glucocorticoids.
Instructions for use of Gemodez 8000 and Gemodez N recommend administering the drugs only by drip (infusion), through a special transfusion system.
Doses of drugs are calculated based on the severity of intoxication, as well as the age of the patient. Infusions are carried out once or twice a day for 1 to 10 days.
For adult patients, depending on the condition and cause of intoxication, a single dose infusion of 200-500 ml is recommended.
The pediatric dose is calculated at the rate of 5-10 ml per kilogram of body weight.
For burns, gastrointestinal infections and radiation sickness, administration is carried out 1-2 times in 24 hours.
For toxemia and hemolytic disease of newborns, infusions are carried out 2-8 times a day, every day or with a break of 24 hours.
In case of myocardial infarction (large-focal), a single drip of 200 ml is prescribed on the first day; in case of complications, it is repeated on the second day in the same volume.
An overdose of Gemodez N and Gemodez 8000 is unlikely.
Concomitant use with other drugs may lead to a decrease in their pharmacological effectiveness.
Solutions Gemodez N and Gemodez 8000 are sold by prescription.
Vials with the solution should be stored at temperatures up to 20 °C. Freezing drugs (down to -45 °C) does not reduce their quality.
Both drugs remain effective for 3 years.
Before infusing drugs, it is necessary to check the integrity and tightness of the primary packaging. Solution The drug should not contain foreign matter and be visually transparent.
Before infusion, the temperature of the drugs is brought to body temperature.
For burns on large areas of the body, Hemodez infusions are combined with the administration of albumin, plasma, and gamma globulin.

Hemodez-N increases renal blood flow, increases glomerular filtration and increases diuresis.
Gemodez-N differs from gemodez in the lower molecular weight of polyvinylpyrrolidone used for its manufacture. Reducing the molecular weight of the polymer accelerates its excretion from the body by the kidneys and improves the detoxification properties of the drug.
Detoxification therapy for:
—toxic forms of acute infectious intestinal diseases (dysentery, salmonellosis);
—peritonitis (in the postoperative period);
— liver diseases accompanied by the development of liver failure;
— burn disease;
-sepsis;
— hemolytic disease of newborns;
— intrauterine infection and toxemia of newborns.
Before administration, the solution should be warmed to body temperature.
The drug is administered intravenously at a rate of 40-80 drops/min. A single dose depends on the age of the patient and the severity of intoxication. Initial dose for children is 2.5 ml/kg body weight.
The maximum single dose depending on the patient’s age is presented in the table:
The drug is administered 1-2 times a day depending on the severity of intoxication.

The drug Hemodez is a solution for infusion that is capable of providing a detoxification effect.
A transparent solution with a yellow or light yellow color consists of povidone (polyvinylpyrrolidone), a low-molecular medical molecular weight of which is 8000±2000, as well as sodium chloride, potassium chloride, calcium chloride, anhydrous magnesium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, osmolarity in the required composition of the drug proportions. This entire complex of substances is supplemented with the required amount of injection water.
The drug should be stored at temperatures from 0 to 20 degrees for no more than three years. Places where the drug is stored must be inaccessible to children.
The drug can be frozen, after which it does not lose its properties.
The mechanisms of detoxification action of the drug Hemodez are due to the fact that low molecular weight povidone is capable of binding toxins circulating in the blood and quickly removing them from the body.
The version of the drug Gemodez-N, unlike Gemodez, contains polyvinylpyrrolidone, which has a lower molecular weight, which contributes to its faster elimination from the body by the kidneys and improves the detoxification properties of the drug. Hemodez-N also helps to increase renal blood flow, increase glomerular filtration and increase diuresis.
The drug Hemodez is indicated for use for those patients who suffer from the following diseases:
The drug Hemodez has contraindications when its use is undesirable for the patient. Hemodesis should not be prescribed:
Before using the solution for administration, it must be warmed to a state corresponding to body temperature.
The use of Hemodez for treatment is permitted only under medical supervision in a hospital.
The drug is to be administered intravenously by drip. The rate of administration is from 40 to 80 drops per minute. Depending on the age of the patient and the severity of intoxication, the dosage of the drug for treatment is calculated.
For children, the initial dose is set at the rate of 2.5 milliliters per kilogram of body weight.
The drug is administered in the dose that will be determined once or twice a day, depending on the severity of the intoxication lesion.
There is a definition of the maximum single dose, beyond which it is unacceptable to go. When calculating the dosage, the guideline was based on age.
For adults, the maximum single dose should not exceed 400 milliliters.
For children from 10 to 15 years of age, the maximum single dose should not exceed 200 milliliters.
For children from 6 to 9 years of age, the maximum single dose should not exceed 100 milliliters.
For children from 2 to 5 years of age, the maximum single dose should not exceed 70 milliliters.
For children under 1 year of age, the maximum single dose should not exceed 50 milliliters.
Data on how effective the drug is and whether its use is safe for a pregnant woman have not yet been provided.
If the rate of drug administration is exceeded, conditions of arterial hypotension, tachycardia may occur, and the patient may experience difficulty breathing.
Sometimes allergies and even anaphylactic shock may occur.
Data on cases of overdose with Gemodez (Gemodez-N) have not been reported.
There are no descriptions of drug interactions with the drug Hemodez (Hemodez-N).
If an allergic reaction occurs during the administration of the drug, the infusion should be interrupted and the patient should be treated with symptomatic therapy.
When side effects occur due to a violation of the rate of solution administration, it is necessary to administer a vasoconstrictor and cardiotonic drug.
Analogues of the drug Hemodez are solutions Neogemodez, Krasgemodez 8000, as well as Hemodez 8000, which can successfully replace Hemodez if necessary.
The drug Hemodez is inexpensive. Its cost varies depending on the volume of the bottle from 57 to 125 rubles.
There are few reviews about the drug, but they all indicate the good cleaning ability of the drug. Those who have experienced the beauty of alcohol poisoning are grateful to the drug for its help. There are also those who, with its help, managed to cleanse the body of drugs. In a word, the drug is able to cleanse the body of a wide variety of toxic contaminants.
Anatoly: The drug Hemodez was received in the form of droppers after removal of purulent appendicitis. I remember that I quickly improved. So, Gemodez saved me from terrible consequences. I can give the drug a positive assessment.
Viktor Sergeevich: I had to use Hemodez only once, when I was hospitalized with severe intoxication from low-quality alcohol. However, two droppers in a day got me back on my feet. The drug is what you need.
Zhanna: One day I got food poisoning, which was caused by seemingly decent canned fish. At first I tried to help myself with activated carbon. However, by morning I realized that things were bad and called an ambulance. At the hospital I received help fairly quickly. As far as I understood then in my semi-conscious state, the main culprit in my salvation was the dropper with the drug Hemodez. Well, what can I say, the drug has five stars, which it well deserves.

Effective infusion therapy is the key to successful treatment of various pathologies and diseases. And Hemodez is an effective detoxification agent that is very popular and effective in modern medicine. It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that this drug is a plasma replacement agent.
Hemodez is available in the form of a solution that is yellowish in color. Concerning release forms, then the drug is produced in special bottles with different volumes. So, you can buy either a small bottle of 100 ml or a large bottle of 400 ml. A special one is used as an additional component.
It should be noted that Hemodez is used for such clinical conditions as:
The infusion solution is used for toxicosis in pregnant women and for liver diseases that are chronic. And also with severe alcohol intoxication.
The drug is administered intravenously using a dropper. Drug administration rates ranges from 40 to 80 drops per minute. The substance can also be administered subcutaneously, but the drug becomes less effective. Before use, the solution should be warmed to 35°C.
If we talk about dosage, then about 300-500 ml is administered to an adult patient once. If we are talking about a child, then the calculation of the amount of the drug depends on how much the child weighs. For one kilogram of the child’s body weight, take from 5 to 15 ml of solution.
The procedure can be repeated only after 12 hours. Please note that the dose and number of infusions should be determined by the doctor involved in the treatment. The procedure can be either a one-time procedure or a whole course of therapy, which consists of a maximum of 10 days of treatment. In case of burn disease and acute forms of the gastrointestinal tract with pronounced symptoms of intoxication of the body, the solution may be prescribed once or twice a day. This drug is used for toxemia in newborns. In this case, the doctor may prescribe from 2 to 8 droppers.
According to instructions for a large lesion, about 200 ml of solution is injected on the first day. If a long painful attack is observed, and a severe arrhythmia occurs, then on the second day another dropper of the drug is administered with the same dosage.
Composition of the drug determines all contraindications to the use of the drug. Thus, Hemodez is prohibited from being used in the following cases:
It should be noted that rapid administration of the drug can provoke a rapid decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia, and breathing problems. In rare cases, the patient may experience severe allergic reaction, which can even end in anaphylactic shock.
If you notice at least one side effect of the drug, you should immediately stop taking it and begin symptomatic therapy. It should be noted that symptomatic therapy should be supported by cardiac and vasoconstrictor drugs.
This drug is great for complex therapy. It can be combined with different saline solutions and red blood cell mass. If acute renal failure occurs, then Hemodez is taken in conjunction with osmotic diuretics.
There are such analogues of Hemodez:
The price of this medicine will directly depend on the size of the bottle. The price in Russia for Hemodez varies from 57 to 125 rubles.
Drug Hemodez
Just a month ago I received severe poisoning. The cause was normal-looking mussels. The first day I tried to act on my own: I took activated charcoal and drank a lot of liquid. However, this terrible condition did not go away and I consulted a doctor. It was at the hospital that I was given an IV with Hemodez, which put me back on my feet and removed all toxins from the blood. The lesson has been learned - it is better to immediately seek qualified help.
Marta, Volgograd
I was given a drip with Hemodez only once, when I was severely intoxicated with low-quality alcohol. I felt the effect of this medicine very quickly. It was this that helped put me back on my feet within a couple of days, and also cleansed my blood of harmful toxins that were in alcohol.
Victor, Moscow
Just recently I had purulent appendicitis removed and I received hemodesis in the form of droppers. It was this drug that helped me avoid various side effects. In addition, I recovered very quickly. Now I got out of the hospital and decided to write a positive review in Gemodez so that other people would know about it.
