Option 1. Cut the apples in half and remove the stems. Remove the core with the seeds and make a small depression (this is convenient to do with a teaspoon or a small ice cream scoop). Place the apples in the dish in which we will bake them, cut side up.

Place a little honey or jam in the indentations in the center of each apple half. If desired, sprinkle with cinnamon or something else (we didn't do that now).

Place in the microwave; it is advisable to cover the form with apples with a special cap for microwave ovens (comment for dummies: this is a plastic cap with a hole or several for steam to escape, sold in kitchen goods departments). Please note that the baking time depends on several factors: the power of the microwave, the weight of the apples and how hard or soft the apples were. In our case: three small apples, not very hard and not very soft, we baked for 8 minutes at a power of 850 watts. We take the baked apples out of the microwave, let them cool slightly – and you’re ready to eat! We remind you: this dessert is no less tasty when cold, so you can cool it to room temperature. The advantage of this cooking method is that the apples will retain their shape, but the disadvantage is that the peel may be too hard and slightly spoil your enjoyment of the dessert. Therefore, let's consider another option.


Option 2. We peel the apples, cutting them into a thin layer, cut them into quarters or even into 8 slices, if the apples are large, remove the core, stalks and “butts”, and place them in a baking dish in one layer.

Lightly pour jam or liquid honey on top of the apples, if desired, sprinkle with cinnamon or other “sprinkles”.

Place in the microwave, cover with a lid, and bake for about 10 minutes. You will get the most delicate dessert, very soft, but (and this is a minus) the apple slices may lose their shape. If you bake it a few minutes longer, you’ll end up with practically applesauce, and by the way, kids really like it. Well, there is also an “intermediate” option.


Option 3. We also peel the apples, core them, etc., cut them into 8 slices and place them in a mold in one layer.

  • 2-3 tbsp. water;

For a child

For a baby up to six months, the best nutrition is considered to be mother's milk or an adapted formula. And when the child reaches the age threshold of 7 months, mothers begin to introduce complementary foods. This is usually vegetable or fruit puree. Is it possible to make such puree at home? For this dish, take:

  • an apple (or several, if you want to make one for yourself 😉 ;
  • a little fresh butter;
  • 1 tbsp. water.

If the baby is less than a year old, it is better not to add sugar. In this case, naturally, the selected fruit should be juicy and ripe. If you are preparing a treat for a baby who is over a year old, you can sweeten the apples slightly.

Add butter to the cylindrical funnel of the prepared fruit. Place the fruit on a plate, pour some water into the container and cover with a lid. Remember that it must be used special dishes for the microwave.

Place the plate with the fruit in the microwave oven and set the unit to the maximum temperature. After 5 minutes, turn off the microwave and leave the plate in the oven for a couple more minutes.

Then remove the container from the microwave oven. When the fruit has cooled to room temperature, carefully remove the skin from the apple and mash the pulp with a spoon. The delicacy is ready - it’s time for the little one to eat.

With honey

It is simply impossible to tear yourself away from such a dessert. You are unlikely to limit yourself to eating one serving 😉 Even. After all, it has a lower glycemic index than sugar.

For preparation you will need the following ingredients:

  • 4 fruits;
  • 4-5 tbsp. honey;
  • cinnamon;
  • some dried fruits of any kind.

Fill the prepared fruit funnels with honey and finely chopped dried fruits. I love making it with raisins and dried apricots. I don’t throw away the cut out “lid” from the apple, but cover it on top.

Then place the container with the fruits in a microwave oven, set to maximum power. After 3-5 minutes, turn off the microwave, take out a plate of fruit and sprinkle the apples with cinnamon.

With cinnamon and raisins

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 6-7 medium sized apples;
  • 2-3 tbsp. Sahara;
  • a handful of raisins;
  • 1 tsp chopped cinnamon;
  • 5 tbsp. water.

Pre-soak the raisins: they should become soft and tender. As for sugar and water, their quantity depends on the type of apples you are baking.

Peel the fruit, remove the core and cut the pulp into slices 0.7-1 cm thick. After this, place most of the pieces in a microwave container and sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top. The next layer will be raisins, which are covered with the remaining apple slices.

Add water. Cover the container with a lid and place in the microwave oven for 4-5 minutes (temperature should be at maximum). Then remove the container, mix the ingredients and place the container in the microwave again for 5-6 minutes. During this time, the apples should soften. If you suddenly feel that the dish is a little dry, add a couple more tablespoons of water.

Then use a potato masher to lightly crush the fruit. But just don’t puree this dish: the slices should be visible.

Serve the treat cold or warm. If you suddenly don’t finish everything you cook, don’t be upset. You can place the leftovers in a saucepan and put them in the refrigerator. Believe me, it is no less tasty when cold.

Dessert in a mug/pot

The following products are required:

  • 2 tbsp. oatmeal;
  • medium sized apple;
  • a couple of spoons of sugar;
  • ¼ tsp. chopped cinnamon;
  • tbsp butter;
  • ½ tbsp. water;
  • a pinch of nutmeg;
  • 1.5 tbsp. wheat flour.

Cut the peeled and cored apple into small slices and place in a mug. Pour water into the container. Add a spoonful of sugar, 1/2 tbsp. flour, 1/8 tsp. cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix all ingredients carefully.

Mix the remaining ingredients in a separate bowl. Cover the fruits in the mug with this mixture. Set the microwave oven to maximum temperature. Place the dessert bowl in the microwave for 2 minutes. The treat is ready. Time to take a sample.
