I was interested in rehabilitation after ACL plastic surgery, since everyone around said that exercise therapy and physiotherapy in the city clinic desired result they won't give it. After the operation, 2.5 months had passed at the time of rehabilitation. I have lameness, incomplete extension, incomplete bend (the bend is quite decent).

At the KSM registry they can tell you what should be written on the referral - I was going to rehabilitation - so they told me that it should say “for rehabilitation within day hospital" (something like this).

The traumatologist looked at my leg and said that it was weak and that he had a place in the hospital.

And the rush began to collect tests ( general, biochemistry, ECG, fluorography and etc).

As soon as I collected everything, I made another appointment - and I was sent to rehabilitation.

Exercise therapy

Alas, I was out of luck! I got caught during renovations. As a result, out of 10 physical therapy sessions there were only a few. It's good that I wrote down all the necessary exercises.

If you go to all 10 exercise therapy classes, the result will be accurate.

PHYSICAL TREATMENTS

Among the physical procedures I was prescribed: ultrasound, currents (myostimulation of the quadriceps femoris muscle), magnet, massage(8 times).

Physiotherapy procedures - 5 times, after 5 times you are shown to a physiotherapist, he prolongs the procedures.

Myostimulation- 2 wet plates in covers are attached to the leg and a current is released, which compresses the muscle. Quite pleasant, and the muscle is pumped without putting stress on the joint.

In total, rehabilitation takes 2 weeks.

What can I say... Massage and myostimulation definitely had an effect. The massage relaxes, because due to incomplete extension/bending, the leg functions incorrectly and the muscles become tense. Myostimulation significantly engages a weakened muscle in its work. And ultrasound and magnets are also available in the city clinic.

During the process, the knee swelled a lot, but this is normal. After completing the physiotherapy, the swelling subsided.

RESULT

I began to quickly walk up and down the stairs. I can run a little, but I try not to abuse it, because I feel discomfort in the joint while running. My gait has improved a little, I will continue to work.

If you're expecting individual approach- then contact private clinics. But it’s very good to undergo procedures and receive treatment for free. Within 2 weeks my condition improved significantly. But, in my opinion, the importance of KSM is still slightly exaggerated. I repeat, I got there not as an athlete, but on a general basis.

There are many pensioners in the department, the majority of them there. In general, the impression is like that of an ordinary hospital. But the doctors are mostly friendly and attentive.

P.S. There is such a very interesting procedure - muscle myostimulation. After operations, the muscles atrophy and melt before our eyes. My quadriceps femoris muscle has become so thin.

A paradox has appeared - to return knee joint former functionality, you need to have strong muscles. And to restore muscles, you need... your knee to work! This is where myostimulation comes to the rescue. I don’t know what’s wrong with the Chinese, cheap myostimulators, but clinics don’t do this physical procedure. Only in paid clinics. The cost of one procedure is about 800-900 rubles. And you need to make 10-15 of them. In a word, the amount is not small.

And now life hack! How to undergo this procedure for less money!

1) take it from a traumatologist referral to KSM to a physiotherapist for consultation(ideally also to their traumatologist, but we have referrals to free medicine They give oh so reluctantly) (without a referral, an appointment will cost 1000 rubles).

2) take with you all the paperwork regarding the injury/surgery

3) tell the physiotherapist that you want to do such and such a procedure (for example, myostimulation) for a fee, show the documents. And she can refer you on a paid basis, one procedure will cost about 350-500 rubles (I don’t know the exact amount, this was announced to me at the reception).

The price is much lower than in the same “New Step” in Luzhniki, where myostimulation is prescribed only in combination with other procedures.

Moscow scientific and practical center medical rehabilitation, rehabilitation and sports medicine united the previously existing Moscow Scientific and Practical Center for Sports Medicine (now the Sports Medicine Clinic), the Specialized clinical hospital rehabilitation treatment(now Branch No. 1 “Specialized Rehabilitation Clinic”), City Hospital No. 10 (now Branch No. 2 “Medical Rehabilitation Clinic”) and Hospital No. 45 (now Branch No. 18 “Respiratory Rehabilitation Clinic”). The Center also included rehabilitation treatment clinics and medical and physical education clinics as branches. The clinical bases of the Center have a complex of natural and artificial physical healing factors (balneo and mud baths, hydrogen sulfide baths, maternity clinic, etc.), the latest physiotherapeutic equipment, including robotic technology.

The scientific staff of the Center was significantly strengthened. 11 scientific departments have been organized and operate, the main tasks of which are development, scientific basis and implementation in clinical practice new technologies of medical rehabilitation, restorative and sports medicine. The scientific staff of the Center consists of 96 researchers, including two academicians (academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences and academician of the Russian Academy of Education), 21 doctors medical sciences and 38 candidates of medical sciences. Sechenov and the Department of Physiotherapy and Medical Rehabilitation of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Further Professional Education RMAPO of the Ministry of Health of Russia.

The main objectives of the Center are restorative treatment and medical rehabilitation of patients immediately after intensive (conservative, surgical) treatment acute diseases, medical rehabilitation of sick and disabled people with consequences of injuries, operations, chronic diseases.

Organization medical care persons involved in physical education and sports, provision of outpatient and inpatient specialized (including high-tech) assistance to athletes.

The institution consists of fifteen branches.

The structure of the Center includes 1,160 round-the-clock beds (in the sports medicine clinic and branches 1, 2, 3 and 16), in addition to 70 day hospital beds.
