When and where will mobile vaccination points open?

Influenza and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) are the most common infectious diseases. The flu can lead to extremely dangerous complications. The most effective way to protect yourself from the disease and its complications is vaccination. The immunity obtained after vaccination lasts for a year.

Flu shot is a preventive procedure for administering a vaccine against a seasonal viral disease that can cause epidemics. It is held before the autumn-winter period. The developed immunity lasts throughout the season.

Main indications

  • preschool children attending nurseries and kindergartens;
  • schoolchildren and full-time students;
  • workers in the service sector and public utilities, medical and educational institutions, public transport drivers and other adults who regularly appear in crowded places as part of their duties;
  • people over 60 years old.

Vaccination is also indicated for those who are at risk:

  • people suffering from chronic somatic diseases (disorders of the respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive and endocrine systems);
  • patients with a weakened immune system.

Contraindications:

  • allergy to chicken egg white or vaccine components;
  • oncological diseases;
  • ARVI;
  • pregnancy and lactation;
  • exacerbation of chronic diseases;
  • nervous pathologies of various nature;
  • adrenal insufficiency.

Relative contraindications:

  • convulsions;
  • blood diseases;
  • heart diseases.

How to prepare for research

Traditional preparation for vaccinations:

  • a healthy person does not require special preparation;
  • You should first be examined for the presence of contraindications;
  • select the optimal composition of the administered drug (at an appointment with the attending physician);
  • consult a doctor about your current medications (some are not compatible with the selected vaccine);
  • the day before, do not change your usual diet and daily routine;
  • limit physical and mental stress;
  • do not drink alcohol;
  • Do not vaccinate on a day when the weather is very cold and windy, so as not to provoke infection on the way to or from the clinic.

You can get vaccinated at the beginning of the season and later, but not when infection has already occurred. Vaccination is prevention, not cure.

Features of the procedure

The influenza vaccine is given intramuscularly. Otherwise (subcutaneously, intravenously) it will be ineffective. For children, the drug is injected into the thigh, for adults - into the shoulder.

People with immunodeficiency are given inactivated vaccines (not capable of causing actual infection) to avoid the development of complications.

Normal reaction to vaccination:

  • general weakness;
  • slight increase in temperature;
  • irritation and formation of a seal at the injection site.

Different drugs are used for vaccination: each of them provides protection only against one strain of influenza and does not affect immunity to other acute respiratory viral infections.

Other vaccination features:

  • a vaccinated person is not contagious to others;
  • cough, runny nose and indigestion are an abnormal response of the immune system to vaccination, with such symptoms you should consult a doctor;
  • The procedure does not reduce immunity and does not provoke flu infection.

Flu shot- the procedure is not mandatory, but very important for those who are constantly among people. It not only protects the vaccinated person from the disease, but also prevents the spread of infection and the occurrence of epidemics, during which deaths are common. A thorough examination before the procedure and its correct implementation guarantee the expected response of the body to the vaccine and the safety of the patient and his environment.

On September 4, large-scale vaccination started in Moscow. Free flu vaccinations can be done at city clinics, special points near metro stations, Healthy Moscow pavilions, and even at My Documents public service centers. We tell you where exactly you can get vaccinated and why you should get vaccinated against the flu at all.

Where can I get vaccinated?

Starting September 4, Muscovites can get a free flu vaccination by choosing a time convenient for them and the vaccination center closest to their home or work. You can come to any clinic, as well as visit one of the 65 mobile vaccination points.

If you don’t have time to go to the clinic, use one of the vaccination points at the metro stations on the way to work, there are 31 of them in total. Three more points are located at the MCC stations (Rokossovsky Boulevard, Gagarin Square and Vladykino), and one at the Kryukovo railway station. Two flagship public service centers “My Documents” will also provide the opportunity to get vaccinated within their walls.

You can protect yourself from the flu in winter in the capital's parks. Choose one of the most convenient for you: Victory Park, Izmailovsky Park, Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve, VDNKh, Kuzminki, Fili, Pechatniki parks or any other (the full list of metro points can be found on the Moscow Mayor’s website ). Doctors will be on duty in the Healthy Moscow pavilions every day from 08:00 to 22:00.

To get vaccinated, you will need a passport of a Russian citizen. Before vaccination, you will also need to fill out a questionnaire and have your temperature taken on site.

Why get vaccinated?

On his personal website, Sergei Sobyanin reported that there are no epidemics of infectious diseases in the capital. Annual vaccination plays a significant role in this, especially for seasonal influenza diseases.

Infectious disease doctor Sofia Rusanova emphasizes that it is necessary to get vaccinated if there are no serious medical exceptions (this is decided by the doctor).

Every year vaccination is done and every year it brings remarkable results, the number of cases decreases. And even if someone is sick, it is mild.

To determine which viral strains will predominate in the coming season, special medical studies are conducted annually. Taking this into account, the influenza vaccine is made.

The more people are vaccinated, the fewer cases of the disease there will be in the city, and in general a more favorable epidemiological situation will be created. Do not delay vaccination until later; do it at the beginning of the autumn season.

The sooner you get vaccinated, the more likely you are not to get sick, because immunity will have time to develop before the incidence starts to rise.
Sofia Rusanova, infectious disease doctor, Infectious Diseases Clinical Hospital No. 1

The only situation when you should wait to get vaccinated is your current poor health and state of health.

“If you are in a period of respiratory infection or another disease in the acute stage, there are relative contraindications. If you feel unwell, it is better to postpone the vaccination, but not completely cancel it,” emphasizes the infectious disease doctor. You should consult your doctor to find out when you will recover and be able to get vaccinated.
